Open-source licenses

Quarterly is built with open-source software. Almost all of it is under permissive licenses that ask for nothing on a page like this one. The components below ask for more, and this page is where we meet it.

libheif, for iPhone photos

When you upload an iPhone photo saved as HEIC or HEIF (a logo, a receipt, a profile picture), your browser converts it to JPEG before it is uploaded. The conversion runs on your device, using heic2any 0.0.4, which includes a build of libheif.

• libheif is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3: lgpl-3.0.txt. That license builds on the GNU General Public License, version 3: gpl-3.0.txt.

Fonts in the app's themes

The Mono, Pop, Neon, Daylight, Linen, Forest and Onyx themes use five typefaces licensed under the SIL Open Font License, version 1.1, which asks that the license travel with the font.
